Tesla, the world’s first trillion-dollar Tesla car maker! Electric car maker Tesla has reached the trillion-dollar milestone as the fifth largest company in the United States in terms of market value. However, as a carmaker, Tesla was the first to join the 1 trillion elite club.
According to the BBC, Elon Musk’s share price has risen by 12.6 per cent due to a deal to sell 100,000 cars to US car rental company Hertz. With this, the market value of Tesla has exceeded one trillion dollars or one trillion dollars. The deal with Hertz is one of the largest in the history of the world in the field of electric cars.
Hertz will pay 4 4.2 billion over the next 14 months for 100,000 3S models. The rental company will also build a network of charging stations. A Tesla car can go up to about 200 miles on each charge. However, Tesla’s share of global car sales is still less than one percent. To change that, Elon Musk has set a 50 percent annual sales growth target. The company also plans to produce 20 million cars a year.

Before Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and the famous search engine Google’s parent company – Alphabet – without a market value of one trillion dollars. Amazon joined the elite club in January 2020, 23 years after it became a public company. As such, the electric car maker, led by Elon Musk, has taken only 11 years. Tesla now equals the combined market value of the world’s nine largest carmakers, including Volkswagen and Toyota.
Not only that, Tesla’s Elon Musk is currently the richest man in the world.
Use of Tesla autopilot on the road. Autopilot is an advanced driving-assistance system developed by Tesla. Tesla has always said that “autopilot cars are designed to help drivers with the simplest advice” so that Tesla cars can be “safer and more efficient over time”.
